To these sadistic creatures, true worship of Chaos can be achieved only through the giving and receiving of agony.
Having transformed themselves into pure instruments of torment, Blissful Ones caper and whirl across the battlefield, their scythe-limbs bloodily dismembering anything in their path. These warriors have taken the first steps upon the path to Unmaking, flaying the skin from their own faces and taking up instruments of excruciation with which to peel the flesh from their foes.
The brutal polearms wielded by Awakened Ones are tipped with hooks and cruel man-catcher jaws, used to impale and drag enemy warriors to the ground. Having carved their own limbs off and replaced them with gruesome flesh-hooks, these depraved killers are one step closer to the sadistic enlightenment that they crave.
Unlike many warrior cults, the Splintered Fang see no dishonour in the use of poison as a weapon. Indeed, it is perhaps their most vital asset.
It is said that the blood of the daemonic Coiling Ones boils within the veins of Trueblood champions, granting them the uncanny reflexes and blinding speed for which they are so greatly feared. The snakes that the Splintered Fang employ as living weapons are tainted by the corrupting touch of the Coiling Ones and possessed of both unnatural cunning and terrible, flesh-eating venoms. Few warriors match blades with these master duellists and survive to tell the tale.
Clearbloods are the foot soldiers of the Splintered Fang; neophyte cultists who seek to prove their devotion to the Coiling Ones by slaying their foes with poison-dripping blades. The shields wielded by Splintered Fang warriors are tipped with barbed spikes, laced with the same lethal toxins as the Clearbloods carry on their blades.
In the hands of a Venomblood, a barbed and poisoned whip is a terrifyingly unpredictable weapon, able to slip past shields and wrap around throats with lethal results.
Eschewing the protection of a buckler in order to maximise their lethality, some Venombloods are skilled in the art of dual-wielding toxin-laced blades. Wielding a barbed whip in tandem with a parrying dagger, some Venombloods overwhelm their foes with a whirlwind of deadly, lashing strikes.
Barbaric warriors who call the Bloodwind Spoil their home, each of these battle-hardened combatants fights with a relentless, animalistic fury — and has the grisly trophies to prove it. Forged in battle and blood, the Slaughterborn lead the Darkoath Savagers. These hulking brutes wear the colossal skulls of vanquished foes for helmets and wield weapons big and cruel enough to cleave most mortals in twain.
With greataxe comes great cleavability, and what could be more prized in the Eightpoints than the keenness — and the sheer size — of a blade? The Proven are the Darkoath's elite — muscle bound warriors who've spilled blood in countless battles. They prize savagery above all else, and any who oppose them will soon come to know it. Armed with weapons second in size only to those of the Slaughterborn, the Proven fight furiously to further their own standing — and for the glory of Dark Gods.
The Wrathtouched is a frenzied berserker, racing through his enemies like a roaring whirlwind of gore and tearing them asunder. Don't be fooled by their physical frailty — a puissant magic-user, the God-speaker uses their fell power to aid and guide their Darkoath kin. Aspirants within the Darkoath Savagers warband, Gloryseekers are made all the more dangerous by their desire to prove themselves. Low-ranking they may be, but Gloryseekers are consummate combatants with all manner of weaponry — bladed or otherwise.
Swift and dextrous, this furiously flailing Gloryseeker spells a gruesome and abrupt end for any who might stand before them. Darkoath Savagers carry oathstones at their belts, and Gloryseekers will hold to theirs by any means available — not least the keen blade of an axe. Darkoath Savagers wear trophies taken from their defeated prey. Belt Buckles worn by The Proven are larger than those worn by Gloryseekers, as they overcome ever-larger foes.
The Dark Gods care not whether blade or blunt object makes a kill, and the wet crunch of breaking bone is as sweet to the ears of the Darkoath Savagers as the sigh of any sword stroke. The Tarantulos Brood worships Chaos as the Eightfold Watcher — a shadow-dwelling, arachnoid presence. In turn, the zealous devotees of the Tarantulos Brood mutate to reflect their dark deity, growing extra eyes and limbs, and they bedeck themselves with sleek chitin.
The Broodmaster leads its warband with the fury and devotion of a fanatic. Its blades are a frenzied flurry of sharpened death, and its inhuman speed ensures all will feel their sting.
Doomweavers form the upper echelons of the brood, identifiable by their chitinous wraps and the spiderwebs with which they adorn themselves. The masks they wear are taken from dead arachnids and pay homage to the Eightfold Watcher they serve. Doomweavers are as dangerous in combat as they are fanatical in service to their deity. An array of versatile weaponry allows them to strike with all the vicious speed of the creature to which they pay fealty.
Broodkin battle desperately with conventional weaponry and spider parts alike, utilising claws and teeth in the hopes of earning the praise of the Eightfold Watcher. Broodkin yearn for the mutations displayed by their betters, and willingly offer themselves as food for spiders. The resulting bites litter their bodies. The Broodkin are the warband's most junior acolytes — they dwell with, and even fight beside, the lesser spiders found in their domain. This book contains the core rules for Warcry, plus expansion options for open, narrative and matched play.

Whereas once they would create mighty strongholds for the great civilisations of the Allpoints, now they pull apart structures with ease, swinging chunks of masonry to crush the life from their enemies.
This helplessness amuses a Sphiranx greatly in the moments before their victims are torn asunder. Warhammer Community is the home of Warhammer on the web — your central hub for the latest previews, top painting and modelling tips, tactics, lore and more.
